Job Description

There is nothing more rewarding than a sports tour: The memories, the friendships, the camaraderie, the experience of being part of a team stays with you forever.

We have a great opportunity to join us to help make those dreams come true for schools, colleges and clubs as our new Playing Tours Operations Co-ordinator.

Working to operationally deliver playing tours bookings on behalf of our extensive school and club client base, you will work closely with our local ground handlers and our internal service providers (flights, accommodation, transportation) to successfully co-ordinate service requirements for your assigned tours.

As part of the playing tours operations team, you will work alongside both the Head of Operations and the Team Leader to successfully deliver your assigned tour bookings, with the ultimate aim of providing an amazing touring experience for the most important people we work with – our customers!

What we are looking for:

  • A flexible, operationally minded person who’s highly organised with an interest in sport and the travel industry
  • A love for building effective relationships both in and outside of the business to help you achieve your aims and objectives
  • A desire to deliver exceptional customer service
  • An individual who thrives in high pressure situations and is able to use their own initiative to problem solve
  • A flexible approach to work and happy to work weekends and evenings, where required
  • A great team player, happy to ‘help out’ in other areas that will only grow your experience and opportunities
  • Experience in the travel industry and in particular sports playing tours would be great, but it’s not essential
  • A good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  •

What you’ll be getting involved in:

  • Co-ordinating the company’s Playing Tours and Events programme bookings whilst ensuring clients receive excellent customer service
  • Maintaining the team’s databases and in house booking/inventory management systems (Tourplan)
  • Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers and customers
  • Creating confirmation letters, invoices, correspondence and travel itineraries for your allocated bookings
  • You get to see the world! You will undertake regular worldwide travel as required for the purposes of familiarisation and/or operational event delivery

To apply for this exciting position please send your CV and current salary, coupled with an email summarising what makes you the right person for the role to recruitment@mikeburton.com by no later than close of Monday 29 August 2022.
