Job Description

Love sport?

Have a thirst for travel and big experiences? Passionate about big brands and creating amazing marketing campaigns?

If this sounds like you and you are ready to take the next step in your career, the Mike Burton Group is the place to be.

Working in partnership with England Rugby, The British & Irish Lions, Team GB and the Australian Open Tennis Championship, we create fan-led travel programmes and experiences to the biggest events in the world.

We have a great opportunity to join our Marketing and Product team as our Marketing Campaigns Executive, devising innovative, powerful and integrated campaigns for these iconic brands.

We want to develop the next marketing campaigns maestro. Working alongside some of the biggest brands in world sport, you will focus on maximising data and employing the latest email and CRM technology.

As part of the marketing and product team you will work closely with the Insight and Data, Product and Digital and sales teams to create, launch, manage and optimise segmented and targeted B2C acquisition and retention campaigns, and B2B where appropriate, while managing the most rewarding customer journey possible for the most important people we work with – our customers!

What we are looking for:

  • A love for delivering email database communications, driving open rates, engagement and conversion.
  • A desire to understand best practice and the passion to keep us at the forefront of industry standards
  • A fast mover – with the skills to deliver multiple projects and campaigns at one time
  • The desire to work with our stakeholders to grow great relationships
  • A great team player, happy to ‘help out’ in other areas that will only grow your experience and opportunities
  • We want your ideas, we thrive on them!
  • Experience in campaign planning would be ideal but not essential, including all the steps of a campaign from conception, implementation and reporting
  • As would a good knowledge of email platforms, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and Google Analytics

What you’ll be getting involved with:

  • Managing the day-to-day customer and campaign data through EDM (DotDigital)
  • Identifying, researching, creating and refining target lists for individual campaigns
  • Seeing the job through – creating, building and deploying successful email marketing campaigns
  • Analysing and optimising campaign performance to ensure we meet set KPI targets
  • Reporting on successes of lead generation and retention campaigns
  • Assisting with the management of third-party publication partnerships from national press, sports and travel specific and where applicable, TV
  • Carrying out regular quality checks on activity to ensure that best practices are in place
  • Working with sales, marketing and operational colleagues to ensure that campaigns hit the mark with our brand, the message and call to action across all our marketing channels
  • Building great relationships with external marketing agencies and internal teams
